Ooredoo First to Commercially Launch 4K in the Middle East with Ooredoo TV

Ooredoo has launched the Ooredoo TV service with 4K capability for its Fiber broadband customers, making it the first operator in the region to offer a commercial 4K service.

The new multi-screen service, which will replace Ooredoo’s Mozaic TV, has been designed as an evolution in home entertainment services, combining apps, on-demand and live television in one easy-to-use box. Customers can enjoy the service via Ooredoo Broadband Wi-Fi on smart devices, including smartphones and tablets. Viewers will also be able to access Ooredoo’s Movies on Demand library, and have free unlimited access to the Ooredoo tv Club, with unlimited content from ABC Studios and Disney.

To ensure a smooth experience for customers, Ooredoo has introduced a “Collect & Go” service for all current Mozaic TV and Broadband users, allowing them to collect the new Ooredoo tv box from the Ooredoo shop. Around 260,000 homes in Qatar that have already been installed with Ooredoo Fibre will be able to self-install the new Ooredoo tv service, said Ooredoo.

Waleed Al Sayed, Chief Executive Officer, Ooredoo Qatar
Ooredoo tv will deliver more power, more choice and a smoother experience for customers and deploy the full strength of the Ooredoo Supernet. Our Mozaic TV customers will be amazed at how easy it is to upgrade to Ooredoo tv, and will be delighted by the quality of service when they do.
