T-Mobile Netherlands is launching its 4G LTE-Advanced (4G+) service today, with the Operator expected to deliver 50% higher speeds compared to its existing 4G network, which currently provides speeds of 40 Mbps on average.

With the launch of the service, customers with a 4G+ handset will be able to access the high speed mobile broadband network that promises stable data connection on the go while enjoying movie streaming and video calling even in a moving car or train.

To achieve these new speeds on the 4G+, the Operator will initially be aggregating spectrums in the 900 and 1,800 MHz bands. At launch, T-Mobile' 4G+ will boast a coverage of over 76% of the population with plans to reach the entire country by end of this summer.

Iskos Lampros, Director of Technology
The newer smartphones can even handle an even higher speed if they can use 4G +.
