Telenor Bulgaria Launches 4G LTE Service with 57% Initial Coverage

Telenor Bulgaria has recently launched its 4G LTE service in all initially planned locations in the country, covering close to 57% of the country’s population. Telenor 4G services are now available in all Bulgarian cities with population of more than 20,000, including all regional centers and the most popular winter resorts.

Telenor plans to continue to expand its 4G coverage well into 2016 as it expects to receive additional spectrum in the 1800 MHz band from the Communication Regulation Commission (CRC). The operator said that the high speed 4G LTE service with peak speed of up to 75Mbps will provide vastly improved mobile app experience, faster browsing and video streaming, and content download and upload.
