Singapore's third largest mobile operator, M1 has partnered with property developer in the island, Keppel Land to launch smart home and smart healthcare pilot at Keppel's residential and commercial properties. The pilot programme, dubbed as 'Smart Lives' will run for 12 months, beginning in early 2016 at Keppel Land’s 622-unit condominium, The Luxurie. Thirty households of the condominium will be selected to enjoy a suite of smart home and smart healthcare solutions.

For a start, the smart home solution features an Internet-of-Things (IoT) hub, as well as camera, contact and motion sensors and a software suite that can send alerts triggered by break-ins or when motion is detected in off-limit areas in the home. The smart healtcare solution, on the other hand, will help residents share their health data with their medical practitioners via the IoT gateway which can capture, analyze and transfer the information remotely.
