Maldives largest service provider, Dhiraagu recently launched LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) technology, joining over 100 mobile operators globally to roll out the service. Dhiraagu is the first mobile operator in the country and in South Asia to commercially launch the LTE-Advanced service which promises downlink speeds of up to 300Mbps and uplink speeds of 50 Mbps

At the official unveiling ceremony of the superior 4G LTE network in 2014, Dhiraagu demonstrated this cutting-edge 4G LTE-Advanced technology for the first time. Dhiraagu LTE-Advanced services work with Carrier Aggregation feature using the band 3 (1800MHz) and band 7 (2600Mhz). 

Dhiraagu more recently announced the successful completion of its nationwide 3G mobile broadband rollout project, which makes it the first and only operator to provide broadband services to all inhabited islands of Maldives.
