Telenor Bulgaria announced the completion of its network upgrade which will enable the Operator to offer 4G mobile services from the beginning of next month. The 4G network which will operate on the 1800 MHz band spectrum, will offfer faster browsing and video streaming with a maximum speed of 75 Мbps, said the operator in a statement.

The 4G service will initially be available in Sofia and most of southern Bulgaria and by mid-December, will cover all Bulgarian cities with population of more than 20,000, including all regional centers and the most popular winter resorts, effectively providing outdoor 4G coverage to 56.73% of the country’s population.

Telenor said that it will continue to expand the coverage and the capacity of its 4G network, depending on spectrum availability, further into 2016.
