Following the latest move by Sprint to impose congestion-based QoS policy that throttles down those who use more than 23GB in high traffic sell sites, Verizon, the largest mobile operator in the US responded by saying that it will not be implementing such practices for its subscribers.
The operator's chief financial officer, Fran Shammo told CNET that Verizon has no plans to throttle its unlimited data customers. However, the operator recently announced a $20 increase for its unlimited data customers which will take effect from the 15th of next month.
Fran Shanmmo, went on saying that "For a customer who signed up for unlimited, they're going to get unlimited," he said. "But we are increasing the price. These customers are consuming a lot of data. But we're not in the habit of throttling customers."
