Bouygues Telecom this week announced the opening of its first customer store with a new concept that is built around customer in-store experience, making customer journey simple and seamless.

The transformation is part of the operator's plan to respond to the increasingly competitive environment and the digitalization and the need for simplification of the business. The initiative which started in 2012 will see the entire network of its 550 stores renovated by the end of 2017.

Under the new concept, phones, tablets and accessories are exhibited on a self-service basis. New digital devices are demonstrated through the simulation of the latest Bouygues Telecom Bbox such as Miami that integrates the universe of Android application. To make customer transactions fast and smooth, sales assistants are equipped with tablets to help with customer accounts, scan supporting documents, take electronic contract signatures and send the contract by e-mail.

Bouygues said that it will be opening larger Premium stores in high volume locations and large cities such as Lyon , Marseille, Toulouse and Bordeaux.
