U.S. Cellular has lowered the cost of all of its Shared Connect plans in its effort to simplify its offerings to provide better value for customers. Under the revived plan, U.S. Cellular now offers data buckets of 1, 3, 6, 10, 12, 15 and 20 GB for consumers and businesses. The operator has decided to eliminate its 8, 14 and 16 GB plans that were offered before. The new plans are offered to both new and its existing subscribers.

The 1GB plan which was priced at  $30 per month is now $25 and the operator has reduced up to $30 for its bigger data buckets.

The operator first introduced its shared plans in 2013 as its rivals started offering the same.

Acoording to U.S Cellular, with the reduced data pricing, the plans provide more high-speed data at lower prices, so customers can feel free to use their iPhone 6s or any other device and not worry about overages.

Joe Settimi, vice president of marketing for U.S. Cellular
