Mobistar Launches Fixed Wireless Broadband on 4G Network for Homes

Mobistar this week launched 'Easy Internet @home', a fixed wireless broadband solution for homes via its 4G mobile network. The plan comes with a WiFi modem and provides 15GB of data volume for €15 per month. The WiFi modem, HUAWEI B310, which is bundled for €29 for users who sign up for a one year contract, supports up to 32 simultaneous users and comes with one Gigabit Ethernet port.

Easy Internet @home is designed for consumers who go online at home on a day to day basis for general surfing but do not need a fixed internet subscription with big data bundles for downloading for instance. According to Mobistar, the solution is perfect for people who only use the internet for basic things such as searches, e-banking, online purchases or social media access. The subscription is not suited to intensive use such as large image or video downloads.

Subscribers are free to use the service anywhere in Belgium using the WiFi modem,  however the operator has locked the modem’s SIM card in order to restrict it from being used with mobile phone, tablet or other modems.
