Indonesian operator, Smartfren Telekom partners with Celltick, a global leader in mobile marketing to launch a personalized and intelligent start screen for its Android subscribers. With this partnership, Smartfren will provide its 12 million subscribers fast access to their favourite and most frequently used applications and functions, including special offers through a customized version of Celltick’s 'Start' that will be preloaded on Smartfren Android devices. Smartfren existing users will be able to download promotions via SMS broadcast, Smartfren website or “Mysmartfren” application .With Start, Smartfren will engage effectively with their subscribers, making them aware of the latest services and products offered to them and also to provide targeted offers.
According to Celltick, 'Start' provides users with an intelligent start screen giving users what they want most when they wake up their phone. Smartfren users will get a quick view into the most relevant news, personal social media feeds, weather, web search and more. Start utilizes a recommendation engine that uses big data techniques and collaborative filtering methodologies to adapt the start screen to users based on how they use their device.
