With both initiatives, Intel plans to support the Intel and Department of Science and Technology (DST)’s `Innovate For Digital India’ Challenge that drew over 1900 entries from across India. As part of its effort, the company will be providing development kits, reference boards, hardware and software tools to enterprenuers to develop and test their ideas and bring their products and solutions to life, and will also be offering mentoring and business support.
The Intel India Maker Lab and Maker Showcase will be supporting ten startup companies initially and will expand to collaboration with incubators and accelerators of academic institutions, industry associations, as well as other corporate entities to offer the benefits of Intel India Maker Lab to hardware startups they are supporting.
