United Arab Emirates' second largest telecoms operator, du is now offering home high speed fiber broadband service in the country for its Talk, Surf and Watch subscribers. The ultra broadband service will allow its subscribers to enjoy seamless access to rich services such as gaming and home entertainment.

New and existing du broadband customers can subscribe to the Talk, Surf & Watch Ultra Plan and experience 1Gbps lightning-fast fibre broadband download and 100 Mbps upload speeds. In addition, existing du customers on its Max Plan will automatically have their upload speeds increased from 10 Mbps to 24 Mbps.  Higher upload speeds combined with no customer traffic management offer the best experience, said the Operator.

In May, du rolled out free WiFi service in more than 200 locations in Dubai & Abu Dhabi as part of the Dubai Smart City project, covering key locations in the city including Dubai Tram, Dubai Metro, Knowledge Village, the DIFC, Dubai Media City, Emaar Boulevard, Global Village and du retail outlets. The operator plans to expand the service to more than 300 locations by the end of the year.

We have also identified a growing segment within our consumer base which is part of the emerging gaming community in the UAE.
