Cloud-Clout, a startup that provides secure cloud-based data storage, last week unveiled its new cloud-powered data storage system that encrypts and fragments users’ data across multiple servers around the world. The company claims that the new data security solution protects consumers' data from being stolen by hackers and government intelligence agencies.

Cloud-Clout said that its software utilizes a redundant array of independent clouds to prevent data loss and ensure that users’ files are always accessible. Cloud-Clout users have to register with four different cloud-based storage services, such as Google Drive, Dropbox or Box.net, to start, and then Cloud-Cloud diffuses the user’s data amongst them.  In order to retrieve the data back, users need to simply launch the Cloud-Clout app to access all of the connected clouds to see all of their data in one folder. The company claims that by spreading the encrypted files across a multitude of servers in different countries, no one government can access users’ files, and any hacker would have to hurdle near-impossible obstacles to breach Cloud-Clout’s security, claimed Cloud-Clout.

Users have the ability to access their data using any mobile device, laptop, desktop, and tablet.  We put security first when we designed our solution and this is our biggest differentiator when compared to our competitors in the industry.
