Zain KSA, a leading telecommunications service provider in Saudi Arabia, and Huawei, have announced the launch of Zain's commercial LTE-Advanced network which involves Carrier Aggregation in two frequency bands - Band 1 and Band 3, enabling Zain to offer mobile speeds of up to 150 Mbps for its LTE-A subscribers. The LTE-A CA solution is one of many technologies intended to significantly enhance network efficiency and improve user experience on Zain's LTE-A network. 

Huawei which claims the launch as a first in the world, said that the new network not only doubles its capacity but enhances user speed upper limits from 75Mbps to 150 Mbps in order to meet the growing levels of data usage from Zain's mobile subscribers.
