Indonesia’s largest telecoms operator with over 132 milion mobile subscribers, PT Telkom Indonesia (Telkom), gears up to launch a 4K Ultra HD TV service that provides 4x higher resolution video compared to the standard HD TV service, for its Indihome fiber broadband customers. Telkom's Indihome fiber broadband service has now been rolled out in 160 cities across Indonesia and has a total of 3.477 million subscribers as at end of March 2015. The new 4K Ultra HD TV service will also come with Internet access at speeds of up to more than 50 Mbps.

Telkom is currently working with set-top box suppliers and content providers to deliver the 4K service and will also be developing hybrid platforms in future to enable the service to work with Android-based devices.

Dian Rachmawan, Director, Customer Service, Telkom
Customers of Indihome Fiber in Indonesia will soon be able to enjoy 4K TV service. This is a trend that is currently one of the most talked about in the technology world, and Telkom will bring it to customers' homes.
