UK's leading mobile operator, EE last week unveiled two new sets of its own brand devices, the new Harrier smartphones that come with WiFi Calling and the improved Osprey 24GEE WiFi devices. EE’s own brand devices range is designed to offer premium mobile features at an entry level price point, said the company.

Harrier, which is EE's second own brand smartphone (afer its Kestrel), supports EE's 4G+ service and promises outstanding value for money and boasts specs and features typically found on more expensive handsets. According to Techradar, these devices will be manufactured by BenQ, the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer.

The slim 8.9mm Harrier smartphone running on Android Lollipop OS will be available for £199.99 on EE's pay as you go scheme and is also offered for free on 4GEE plans from £21.99 per month. The Harrier smartphone boasts Octa Core 1.5Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 5.2” Full HD screen and 13MP camera. The new smartphone will also be capable of supporting EE’s recently launched WiFi Calling service with customers expected to be able to use the service from this summer.

EE has also launched the Harrier Mini for £99.99 on pay as you go and free on 4GEE plans from £16.99 per month. The more compact version of the Harrier handset features Android Lollipop operating system with a 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor and a 4.7” HD display and 8MP camera, including support for ite 4G+ and WiFi calling service.

EE's new 4G WiFi devices - Osprey 2 and Osprey 2 Mini - allows 4G mobile internet hotspot anywhere, connecting up to ten devices at any one time. The Osprey boasts exceptional battery life – with a huge 5,150mAh capacity allowing users to stream for more than 15 hours uninterrupted. The Osprey 2 will be available free on pay monthly plans from £15 including 3GB of data, or £69.99 on pay as you go including 6GB data. The Osprey 2 Mini is available for free on pay monthly plans from £15 including 3GB of data, or £49.99 on pay as you go including 6GB data.

Customer take-up of our existing EE branded products has been phenomenal, so we’ve worked hard to create new feature packed devices. The Harrier and Harrier Mini are another big step forward and will allow even more people to benefit from a premium smartphone without the premium price – as well as provide access to a superfast 4G experience that only the UK’s biggest and fastest mobile network can provide.
