European-based Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) Lebara, has partnerted with Huawei to collaborate on a new Online Digital Charging System. The agreement will see Huawei delivering and integrating the next generation Charging System to support Lebara’s business ambitions and providing a single sign-on process for new and existing Lebara services.

Headquartered in Netherlands, Lebara was founded in 2001 and started its mobile business by selling low price international phone cards for migrant workers and international students. March this year, Lebara released Lebara Talk, the low cost calling and messaging app with convenient cash top-up, introducing the brand to new markets around the globe.

Lebara said that its customers will benefit from a best-in-class integrated charging system, enabling flexible payments on an array of innovative services covering entertainment, finance and communications, including the new Lebara Talk app. Alongside the benefits to consumers, the new system – which can be used anywhere in the world – will decrease the existing time to market and reduce total cost and carbon footprint.

Yoganathan Ratheesan, Chairman and CEO, Lebara
