Bahrain’s leading communications solutions provider, Batelco has partnered with Avis, an International Car Rental company to install WiFi solutions for Avis Rent a Car’s customers in Bahrain. This service will ensure that passengers can be connected and stay in touch with their loved ones while on the go via Wi-Fi connectivity provided in Avis' rented cars, which then connects to Batelco's 4G LTE network. The service, said Batelco, will be available in all of Avis’s Chauffeur Driven Fleet, across the entire Bahrain.

The service, said Batelco, will also see Avis Rent a Car providing Batelco Prepaid SIM Cards to all those who rent cars from them during the Formula One weekend in Bahrain. The Prepaid SIM cards will allow free calls to all Batelco numbers and include data services.

Customers seek high speed Wi-Fi services, especially while travelling, and it is becoming the norm for most people to stay connected through online social networks and instant messaging at all times. Accordingly, we will continue to invest in further improving our services.

This is in line with meeting the evolving needs of customers who demand to be in touch 24/7, regardless of location. This service will enhance the evolving lifestyle of people who want to have high speed connection on the go and it is anticipated that the service will prove to be very popular.
