Starting today, customers of Walmart Family Mobile, powered by the US carrier T-Mobile, will get up to 500MB more 4G LTE data for the same price, which is double the 4G LTE data on the company’s entry-level plan. For $29.88 per month, customers can now get 1GB of LTE data, up from 500MB, while for the $39.88 per month plan, customers will be offered 3GB of LTE data, up from 2.5GB. Walmart Family Mobile which is a postpaid, no annual contract wireless service will see customers being automatically rewarded with the extra data.
T Mobile/Walmart promotes these plans as providing increased flexibility to users, being free from binding restrictions such as having to sign up for auto pay and other conditions. According to T-Mobile, these plans that are offered nationwide through Walmart retail stores and Walmart.com, will provide customers who sign up for multiple lines, savings of $5 on each additional line.
