Sprint has just revolutionalized in-store customer experience, except that this time, they are bringing the experience to wherever the customer is. Sounds perplexing? PCC Mobile Broadband's Tech Team thought so too, but we watched the video and saw how the whole idea worked.

Sprint's Direct 2 You, as the service is called, sees Sprint-trained experts travelling to wherever the customer is - home or office - to personally help the customer to start using their new devices. The service is provided to Sprint's customers who have just upgraded to a new device or purchased one, and includes the delivery of the new device to the customer's location. During the delivery, the expert will set up the device and transfer the content including contacts, pictures, videos and apps from their old device to a new one. The experience also includes the Sprint expert performing a tutorial and offering tips to help the customer become familiar with using the new mobile device.

According to Sprint, the Sprint Direct 2 You service will see Sprint rolling out approximately 5,000 cars in major metropolitan areas by the end of the year. The program has already been rolled out in Kansas City metropolitan area, Sprint's hometown, and will be expanded to Chicago and Miami next week, with the operator planning to continue adding the other metropolitan areas throughout the year.

Sprint CEO, Marcelo Claure
With our new Sprint Direct 2 You fleet of cars, it’s as if we are adding 5,000 additional stores. However, these mobile stores will be continuously on the move based on customer demand. We’re constantly listening to our customers, and we learn from them what they want in a great wireless phone experience so that we can remove their pain points.
