Warid Telecom, a leading mobile operator in Pakistan which only a week ago launched its 4G LTE services, announced a 7-day free LTE trial which comes with a 500MB data allowance for all its prepaid and postpaid customers. The offer is available when Warid's customer upgrade or purchase an LTE SIM. Warid's LTE service is currently offered in six cities including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Faisalabad.

In addition, Warid is also offering a notification service to help its customers to track their mobile data usage, allowing them to configure the threshold limit. Warid's postpaid customers get one off notifications as they are approach their data limit while prepaid customers receive a notification for every MB consumed.  On top of this, Warid is offering bonuses on data consumed on its prepaid service - for example, with every 10MB consumed, another 10MB is allocated for free.   

Warid Telecom's 4G LTE service which was enabled by Ericsson's solution mark's Pakistan’s first large-scale commercial deployment and launch of 4G LTE. Warid Telecom also joins the very few operators in the world to have moved directly to 4G network from 2G. According to Warid, the company is investing approximately US$500 million over the next five years to expand its network across the country with plans to cover 10 more cities within the next 10 months and 20 cities in the next 20 months.
