Automaker Subaru has partnered with AT&T and Sirius XM Connected Vehicle Services, a unit of both AT&T and Sirius XM, to provide enhancements to its Subaru STARLINK in-vehicle connectivity system. The enhancement will enable STARLINK to deliver improved personal safety and security services to vehicle occupants via 4G LTE wireless connectivity. According to AT&T, Subaru's STARLINK will provide drivers with a built-in AT&T 4G LTE communications module capable of offering safety and security features including stolen vehicle recovery, automatic collision notification, remote vehicle services such as lock/unlock via a smartphone device and monthly vehicle health reports.
