Telkom South Africa Expands LTE-Advanced to Additional Five Suburbs

Telkom South Africa has rolled out LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) to another five suburbs - Illovo and Melrose in Gauteng, Sea Point and Three Anchor Bay in Cape Town, and Umhlanga in KwaZulu-Natal, following its debut launch at Parkview in Johannesburg. Telkom's LTE-A network boasts speeds of up to 150 Mbps and according to the largest operator in South Africa, with the availability of the high speed broadband, residents in these places will be part of Telkom’s Futurehood, a program that aims to connect 50 suburbs to Telkom’s LTE-A network by March 2015.

Telkom is offering the LTE-A service at a promotional offer of R1399.00 per month over a 36 month contract.
