This Christmas saw Amazon lining up some of the best offers - from largest free 'App of the Day' bundle to 50% discounts on movies and 80% off on Kindle Books from best-selling authors. With the adoption of digital lifestyles where people leverage content, information and services delivered via digital screens to manage their personal lives and their work and businesses, more people are turning to digital outlets such as Amazon to make last minute purchases for Christmas. Most people are still looking for gifts and digital content for their holidays and Amazon which provides every form of digital content - from music tracks to movies to books - makes it the go-to digital outlet for today's e-shoppers.

According to Amazon, its Christmas offers will run from December 24th to December 26th. During this period, Amazon Appstore will offer a number of paid apps and games for free, as part of the largest Free App of the Day bundle ever. The bundle includes apps and games from developers like Halfbrick Studios, Rovio Entertainment and Sega of America, which range in price from $0.99 to $64.99 —saving customers up to $220. Amazon said that it is also offering up to 30% discount on its overall Coins purchase when customers buy or gift Amazon Coins which can be used for buying apps, games and in-app items.

Amazon is also throwing in discounts of up to 50% on Holiday and Kids movies and TV shows including titles such as Dr. Seuss: How the Grinch Stole Christmas, White Christmas, Polar Express, Home Alone, A Charlie Brown Christmas, and Elf. These movies are available with the Amazon Instant Video app on Fire TV, Roku, Xbox, PlayStation, Wii, and smart TVs as well as a wide range of mobile smartphones and tablets. For the entire family, Amazon is offering Amazon Prime members tens of thousands of TV episodes and movies with its video subscription service - Prime Instant Video which delivers unlimited streaming of movies and TV including HBO shows like The Sopranos and The Wire, along with Amazon Originals Alpha House, Golden Globe nominee, Transparent, and the latest -Mozart in the Jungle.

Music being another popular digital content on today's connected devices is also included in Amazon's Christmas offer. Amazon Prime members can listen to unlimited ad-free tracks from its exclusive Amazon holiday playlist - All is Bright- for free while visitors to Amazon can listen to a selection of the holiday songs from the playlist for free while they shop online from now through December 25th. Prime members can also listen to  a variety of popular holiday albums and songs on Prime Music without added cost, including Christmas fan-favourite and classics as well as a selection of hand-crafted holiday playlists. Amazon is topping these offers with special Christmas Day highlights including Ariana Grande—My Everything, Frozen (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix Vol. 1 (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), Imagine Dragons—Night Visions, OneRepublic—Native [+digital booklet], Sam Smith—In The Lonely Hour for $3.99 as part of its Digital Gold Box Daily Deal.

Apart from this, from December 25th through the New Year,  popular Kindle books from best-selling authors will be up to 85% off, added the e-commerce giant.

In addition to all the digital content specials, Amazon is also offering discounts on devices - $20 off Amazon Fire TV (now $79), $25 off Fire HD 7 (now $114), $20 off Kindle (now $59) and $20 off Kindle Paperwhite (now $99).
