IMS Connected Car Experience Introduces Driver Health Monitoring and Real-Time Driver Coaching

Intelligent Mechatronic Systems (IMS), the provider of connected car technology, has announced that it will unveil its IMS Connected Car Experience which showcases real-time driver coaching, driver health monitoring integrated with wearable devices and distraction-free technology that supports smarter driver decisions, at the Insurance Telematics USA conference in Chicago. Via its DriveSync platform, IMS Connected Car Experience enables insights from wearable technology to be transformed into anticipated behaviour, citing examples such as sleep patterns, glucose monitoring levels and abnormal heart rate detection which are can be used to signal driver drowsiness and potential health risks. 

According to IMS, the DriveSync platfom also addresses the safety concerns by analyzing  weather and traffic information to predict expected road conditions and providing drivers personalized audible coaching when unsafe behaviors are observed; including dangerous speeding, harsh cornering and tailgating when they are on the road. In addition, DriveSync also comes with the comprehensive usage-based insurance (UBI) solution which offers customers automotive incident detection, first notice of loss, claims management, green driving reports and integrated roadside assistance. In addition, the platform keeps the driver's attention on the road by creating safe and convenient access to email, text notifications, music and social media integration.
