Telenor Sweden has launched a new future-proof hardware for broadband via the mobile network, also called FWA.

The new solution will provide good capacity, speed and quality already on the 4G network and is prepared for 5G with even faster speeds.

This is a product that is perfect for the homeowner, summer cottage owner and small business owner who wants a stable network and high capacity but who does not want or can not get fiber. It works great for both homework and streaming entertainment and news.

The new hardware is delivered as an outdoor receiver to those customers who have the opportunity to set up a unit outdoors and as an indoor router for those customers who can not or may not do damage to the facade. The outdoor receiver has a built-in antenna and is combined with a wifi router that is placed indoors. Because the receiver is placed on the outside of the housing, parameters such as thickness and material on the walls or energy glass windows do not affect the speed.

The indoor router has built-in wifi 6, the latest generation of wireless networks with faster speeds, higher coverage and more stable networks as well as the possibility of more connected devices. The choice of solution has entirely to do with the conditions surrounding the home. When choosing an outdoor receiver, professional installation is offered.

The products have the latest technology in both 4G and 5G with very efficient antennas that ensure good reception. Telenor's tests show that the solution provides a much better speed and experience than, for example, small mobile wifi pucks. With outdoor receivers, even those who today have weak signal strength get a significantly better experience.
