GENIVI Alliance to Host the 'Connected Car - Open Automotive Track' at Money Event, Super Mobility Week in Vegas

GENIVI Alliance, a non-profit industry association driving the development and adoption of an open In-vehicle Infotainment (IVI) reference platform said in a recent statement that it will host the "Connected Car- Open Automotive Track" in the upcoming CTIA's Super Mobility Week in Las Vegas, Sept. 8-11, 2014, at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. The CTIA's Super Mobility Week features among others, the Money Event where more than 40,0000 attendees from 100 countries will have the opportunity to understand, explore and establish partnerships in the mobile commerce area, specifically in the mobile money segment. The Connected Car Open Automotive Track will leverage on the event to present insights on the growth and development of the 'connected car', specifically, the innovations in the mobile services that are being delivered via the 'connected car' and related developments in the internet-of-things (IoT) space 

According to GeNIVI, its conferences will see automakers, suppliers, automotive consortia and leading industry analysts taking part in the following 3 sessions:

Collaborate or Die (United We Stand) focusing on the partnerships, alliances and other collaborative efforts that are facilitating major developments in the sector; 

Cars are Connected Where are the Applications which will discuss how automotive applications are still missing from the digital devices passengers carry into their vehicles; and

Inside Your Car, Your Mind and Your Wallet that will delve into the costs vs. consumer and key stakeholder benefits to bring loT into the vehicle.
