T-Mobile adds more content on its landmark music streaming service, the Music Freedom. T-Mobile's latest move sees the addition of six new music streaming services - AccuRadio, Black Planet, Grooveshark, Radio Paradise, Rdio and Songz- to its Music Freedom service which already boasts top labels in the segment such as iHeartRadio, iTunesRadio, Pandora, Rhapsody, Samsung Milk, Slacker and Spotify. According to T-Mobile, Music Freedom subscribers can now stream as much music as they want on its Data Strong network without worrying about hitting their LTE data bucket.
Music Freedom enables T-Mobile's subscribers with access to Music Freedom, for example subscribers on the Simple Choice plan, to stream unlimited music from its collection of music libraries. According to T-Mobile, since the launch of Music Freedom, more than seven thousand terabytes of music has been streamed and subscribers are streaming 5 million more songs per day than before.
T-Mobile also disclosed the results of its social voting that asked customers to decide on the next music streaming service they would like to add to their existing service, saying that Google Play Music came out top as the most preferred. T-Mobile added that Google Play Music is most likely to be added to its family of music streaming services sometime this year.
"When the big ‘carriers’ look at music, they see an opportunity to use someone’s passion to make a buck. When the Un-carrier looks at music, we see an opportunity to set customers free from the tolls and limitations those carriers impose. Our goal is nothing less than to setall your music free, and we’re well on our way."
- John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile

Together with Music Freedom, Grooveshark is creating a new kind of music discovery on T-Mobile devices. We believe the combined global audiences of millions represents a new and engaged audience for Grooveshark on T-Mobile."
