Virgin Mobile Custom™Plans With Flexible Add-Ons To Be Available Soon at Walmart Source: Virgin mobile

Virgin Mobile USA, part of Sprint's Prepaid business is launching the Virgin Mobile Custom™ plan that allows Walmart customers at select stores to subscribe to customized rate plans that come with no annual contract. This means that subscribers can choose the number of call minutes, SMSs and data quota that they want and build a plan that is uniquely theirs.

The offer, which will be rolled out to customers on this August 9th, also comes with parental control that allows parents to set various restriction levels on features, apps and websites. This additional feature can be downloaded on both iOS and Android devices.

According to Virgin Mobile, the plan starts with a basic offer that allows subscribers to activate up to 5 lines for as little as USD6.98 per line per month with the purchase of pre-selected Custom phones (initial models offered being ZTE Emblem™ for $79.88, LG Pulse™ for $99.88, or LG Unify™ for $129.88) to enjoy 20 texts and 20 voice minutes. This package can then be topped up with unlimited texts (USD10), unlimited voice(USD18.1) or subscribers can choose an unlimited text and voice package at USD35. The plan also comes with other add-ons that allow access to specific apps such as Facebook and Pandora or calls to specific destinations.

More importantly, subscribers are given the flexibility to add these features on a recurring and non-recurring basis in real-time, and except on unlimited plans, can share their quotas across all their lines. They will also have access to up-dated charging information on packages they select, enabling them to make more informed decisions when purchasing their plans.

Custom represents both our first multi-line plan and a new model for buying no-contract wireless that gives consumers greater choice and control than ever before. Our customers will have a whole new level of spending management, plan customization, and parental control. They can tailor what they pay for to match their own and their family’s needs.”
