NTT Communications announced that it will offer low-cost, scalable object storage through its new Enterprise Cloud Wasabi Object Storage service beginning October 1.

The service will be delivered in collaboration with Wasabi Technologies (Wasabi), an object storage service provider founded in Boston, Massachusetts, USA in 2016. Object storage is a storage architecture that handles data in units of objects.

As an introductory campaign, customers of NTT Com's Enterprise Cloud service will be allowed to use Enterprise Cloud Wasabi Object Storage (U.S. and Netherlands regions) free of charge through the end of October.

Enterprise Cloud Wasabi Object Storage is one of the functions of NTT Com's newly launched Smart Data Platform, which provides data-focused businesses with comprehensive data-utilization functions for corporate digital transformation (DX).

The use of unstructured data such as documents, movies, images and audio are increasing at an exceedingly high pace. For companies that must use massive amounts of data for their DX initiatives, secure, large-capacity storage is indispensable.
