dotmobile, an MVNO based in Canada, announced that it wants to engage Canadians to help design a wireless carrier that fits their needs instead of the other way around.

dotmobile plans to offer affordable connectivity services in Canada in 2020 as a pure-play digital brand. The company plans to launch what it calls as 'Data On Tap' with unlimited rollover, instead of a typical data plan, with the ability to use it anywhere in Canada and the US without roaming fees.

dotmobile members can now provide feedback on planned features, upvote the ones most important to them and collaborate with other members and the dotmobile team. With its new Build it! page, customers can weigh in on concepts, designs and eventually even test out prototypes.

Algis Akstinas, CEO of dotmobile
Rather than thinking about where to put another tower or antenna, we are looking at the best way to deliver a SIM card (physical or over the air with eSIM), building robust cost control tools, pay-per-gig data with perpetual rollover and other smart features that will help optimize the total amount spent on wireless service.
