Cerillion announced that its Enterprise BSS/OSS suite is powering the newly launched Lobster mobile operator in Spain.
Lobster is targeted at English speakers residing in Spain, including British expatriates – a market of over 1.5 million people – and is the only mobile operator in the country to offer a service completely in English, including its Customer Contact Centre, website, app and bills. The Lobster offering is based on simplicity and understanding the customer so that they enjoy a service and experience "like home".
Through its long-standing relationship with Lobster’s parent company, Gibtelecom, Cerillion has worked in close partnership to help bring this new operator to life, including implementation of its Enterprise BSS/OSS suite with a strong focus on a digital first experience via Self Service and native iOS / Android Mobile Apps. For those who prefer more traditional customer service, Lobster is available through a dedicated Customer Contact Centre and an extensive network of retail outlets. Lobster understands its customers' needs with a service designed for convenience including rolling monthly subscriptions and the ability for customers to “park” their service for up to 12 months whilst retaining their account and phone number.
Jansen Reyes, Technology Director, Gibtelecom
Entry into the Spanish market is a key strategic move for Gibtelecom, and we identified a clear opportunity with the English-speaking community for a no-nonsense mobile service.
Louis Hall, CEO, Cerillion
The launch of Lobster as a full-English mobile service to address this market opportunity is an exciting step for Gibtelecom and we are delighted to be supporting them in their international expansion.
