GSMA’s WAS#9 is taking place this week in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with major global operators and leading vendors coming together to discuss agreements and solutions in the voice/messaging, interworking and roaming solutions space. WAS which stands for Wholesale Agreements and Solutions Group is one of GSMA’s working groups and is responsible for overseeing the interoperability between Operator-to-Operator and Operator-to-Hub including interworking and roaming services.

The event is hosted by Anam Technologies, a leading provider of SMS Firewall and A2P Monetisation solutions for Mobile Operators across the globe, covering more than 250 million subscribers across 65 countries. Anam’s offerings allow Mobile Operators to screen billions of messages flowing through today’s mobile networks via the use of firewalls that play an important role not only in ensuring the security of messaging but also in reducing revenue leakages and enhancing monetization opportunities, specifically on Operator’s A2P traffic.

The Fast Mode spoke to Darragh Kelly, Chairman of Anam Technologies on the growth of the Ireland-based company over the years, with a brief overview of its suite of solutions and expansion of its presence in Europe, Asia Pacific and Africa, as well as its role as the second-time host of the prestigious WAS#9 event.
