Sprint has announced that Sprint Secure Mobile VPN technology, powered by Columbitech, is now available for Sprint Business customers.

The solution creates a seamless virtual private network connection with mobile devices across all different types of IP networks – including 4G/LTE, LAN and Wi-Fi – to ensure users can quickly and securely access critical data without having to worry about reconnecting or being forced to log in multiple times throughout the day.

Sprint Secure Mobile VPN provides session persistence to the company VPN and protects any application on any device with the highest levels of military-grade security.  It helps ensure regulatory compliance with the cryptographic guidelines and authentication requirements enforced by industry regulators such as NIST/FIPS 140-2, HIPAA and PCI.

Columbitech claims that its patented technology is the world’s first solution offering real session persistence with network roaming and also transaction recovery. 

Sprint Secure Mobile VPN is compatible with iOS, Android, Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as embedded operating systems used for Internet of Things (IoT) solutions across various industries. It is also available as an SDK for integration with applications.

According to Techradar, Sprint Secure Mobile VPN will be provided at no extra cost to those who subscribe to the firm’s Mobility-as-a-Service unlimited plan. To other customers it will cost $1.99 per month, per user.
