Vodafone Spain has partnered with Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi to bring the Mi MIX 2 Premium smartphone to the Spanish operator market, exclusively for Vodafone users.

With this launch, Vodafone becomes the first operator in the Spanish market to market a product from Xiaomi. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is available from this week in the operator's stores and in the Vodafone Online Store.

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, MiMIX 2 comes with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of memory. It also uses the latest Sony IMX386 sensor in its 12 megapixel camera, and incorporates a 4-axis OIS that reduces the effect of handshake or movement, so that images and videos are kept sharp.

Mi Mix 2 is available with Vodafone One M and Red M plans (or higher) without commitment of permanence for € 0 of initial cost and € 16.5 / month for 24 months and with 3 months of mobile gift insurance (after € 4 / month).

With Vodafone One M 120Mb customers have symmetric fiber at 120Mb, 10GB of data, Chat Pass and Social Pass and unlimited calls among other features.

The smartphone brand has also established agreements with mobile operators in France, including Orange, SFR, Bouygues and Free to launch the phone there this week, reports South China Morning Post. As part of the expansion plan, Xiaomi also plans to enter the Italian market.

Wang Xiang, SVP, Xiaomi
Vodafone is a leading player and I am very pleased to be able to grow our business in Spain even more thanks to this agreement with them. The Mi MIX 2 shows Xiaomi's capabilities to overcome frontiers and lead innovation, while making the most cutting-edge technologies available to all.

Numo Taveira, Director of the Terminals Business Unit, Vodafone Spain
We want our customers to have the best smartphones available in the market to enjoy with the best 4G + network and that is why this exclusive distribution agreement of the Xiaomi My Mix 2 is essential.
