Digi Telecommunications (Digi), Wednesday made public its new intelligent fleet management solution, iFleet, sharing a glimpse of its new play into the Internet of Things (IoT) space. iFleet is one of the businesses managed by Digi’s venture building arm, Digi-X.

This is the first time a telco service provider is going to market with an end-to-end fleet management solution that takes care of hardware, software and connectivity at one go, said Digi in a statement.

According to the iFleet website, the solution adds a layer of intelligence to fleet vehicles, and handles everything from installation, system integration, fleet monitoring automation, to lifetime warranty and after sales support so business owners can focus on what’s most important – running their business.

iFleet is said to benefit enterprises with any fleet size – from large logistics companies, to local businesses with a fleet of riders, or company car drivers - offering the best value while maintaining a rich set of features to manage their fleet. The solution helps enterprises benefit from cost efficiencies by using detailed fleet data to better manage mileage, reduce incidents by promoting good driving behavior, reduce risk of theft, reconstruct accidents accurately and more, for an affordable monthly fee that includes support and maintenance.

The solution is set to launch in quarter two of this year. And in the lead-up to this, the website reveals that iFleet is now offering early adopters an affordable RM75 a month per vehicle for the intelligent fleet management solution prior to launch.
