67% of Telecom Professionals Believe Content Bundling Is Key to Monetizing New Services - Telecoms.com/Openet BSS Report Image Credit: Openet

Openet, a global leader of real-time transaction management software and services, has partnered with telecoms.com to produce the Business Support System (BSS) Section of its telecom industry report. The report highlights the new services Operators see as having the best opportunity to generate new revenue streams, the BSS components operators are looking to replace and how important virtualization of BSS is and the benefits it can deliver. The report is based on telecoms.com's 2015 Intelligence Annual Industry Survey and was participated by more than 2000 professionals from the telecom sector. 

According to the report, 67% of respondents believe that  bundling offers from content providers such as video and music services, is a serious consideration for new revenue generating services while 58% believe that a centralized offer catalogue is helpful for delivering billable services. At the same time, 63% of respondents agree that system integration complexity is a time consuming challenge which can slow down new services.
