Openet, a global leader of real-time transaction management software and services, has released a new WiFi guidebook for mobile operators to ensure Quality of Experience (QoE) on WiFi Networks. As Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) are now looking at Wi-Fi to help meet consumers' insatiable demand for data by leveraging lower cost networks, the guidebook shares key strategies and addresses challenges faced by MNOs in deploying and managing their carrier WiFi networks.

Among others, the guidebook outlines key aspects in ensuring the quality of experience on Wi-Fi services and explores strategies that MNOs can put in place to monetize their Wi-Fi networks. The guidebook also covers the service experience on Wi-Fi offloading, highlighting the importance of network selection intelligence. More interestingly, it shares case studies on how operators are starting to evolve their mobile offers to include bundled Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Roaming, covering recent implementations from leading MNOs including AT&T, DoCoMo, Singtel and Vodafone.
