Openet: Policy Management Key to Deliver HD Voice Services in VoLTE Credit: Openet

Openet, a global leader of real-time transaction management software and services, has released a new white paper titled 'VoLTE - Using Policy to Deliver High Definition Voice Services', highlighting the importance of Policy Management in delivering HD voice services.

Openet said that Policy Management is key to dynamically manage unpredictable mobile resources associated with each VoLTE call and to manage the quality of service (QoS) on each. The White Paper discusses the delivery of Rich Communication Services (RCS) on VoLTE as part of Service Providers' strategy to improve their voice services and explains how the use of Policy Management in this area can ensure better call quality compared to  low-cost or free over-the-top (OTT) services.

The white paper also covers VoLTE offerings by major operators around the globe, including AT&T, SingTel, T-Mobile, SK Telecom and LG U+.
