Customer survey - Who do consumers trust and why?
Sapio Research surveyed 1500 consumers in Brazil, The Philippines, UK and the US on their views on trust of mobile operators and digital service companies (e.g. Facebook, Netflix, Uber, etc). The results showed a clear opportunity for mobile operators to build on consumer trust to provide a range of digital services. Download the results of this survey to see the complete results. - 56% of consumers trust mobile operators more than digital service companies
- The main reason for this trust is that operators don’t abuse personal data
- 92% of consumers would be happy to use digital services supplied by their mobile operators
- Facebook data scandal has had a knock on effect for all digital services companies leading to calls for increased transparency and regulation
