KPN strengthens its position as the leading security services provider in The Netherlands by signing an agreement to acquire Dutch cyber security company DearBytes.

KPN will be able to offer a broader range of high-quality security services to business customers in the Netherlands, especially in the field of secure mobile working, malware protection, monitoring and detection.

Protection against malware is the cornerstone of the cyber security strategy of virtually every organization. The DearBytes portfolio comprises products & support, professional services and a security operations center from which prevention, detection and response services can be supplied to customers 24/7.

KPN expects to complete the transaction at the end of January 2017.
