Ooredoo, CK Hutchison Sign MoU to Merge Indosat and Tri Indonesia

CK Hutchison, a Hong Kong-based leading port investor, developer and operator, recently announced that the Group has entered into an agreement with Ooredoo to combine their Indonesian telecommunications businesses.

The negotiations are on a potential transaction to combine PT Hutchison 3 Indonesia, a subsidiary of CK Hutchison, and PT Indosat, a subsidiary of Ooredoo. 

 

CK Hutchison and Ooredoo will proceed with negotiations on an exclusive basis until 30 April 2021. No decision has been taken to proceed with any transaction and there can be no certainty that any transaction will proceed or, if it does, what the scope or terms of such transaction would be. The potential transaction remains subject to, amongst others, satisfactory due diligence, agreement on terms, signing of definitive agreements and obtaining of all required corporate and regulatory approvals.
