Polystar, a subsidiary of Elisa that provides analytics, assurance and monitoring software solutions for mobile operators and Elisa Automate, a unit within Elisa that provides network automation solutions, have merged operations.

Last year, Elisa and owners of Swedish Polystar group signed an agreement in which Elisa acquires 100 per cent of Polystar's shares.

Elisa Automate will now become a new business unit within Polystar led by Kirsi Valtari, and its offers will be integrated into the wider product portfolio.

The new combination of Polystar and Elisa Automate provides suite of solutions to support operators on this journey and to unlock the benefits of effective automation and predictive analytics.

The new organisation will deliver greater synergies from the combined portfolio and aims to become the leading partner for the realisation of autonomous networks, said the companies in a joint statement.

Kirsi Valtari, EVP of Elisa Automate
The convergence of our businesses means that customers and partners will benefit from a broader, richer solution suite, based on advanced Machine Learning algorithms, adapted to tackle the challenges of the next decade in the evolution of communications networks.

Mikael Grill, CEO, Polystar
Our joint offers are already delivering new benefits, by combining network analytics insights and data with process automation to ensure more effective operations.
