Red Pocket Mobile announced that it has officially acquired 'freemium' US MVNO FreedomPop from its parent company STS Media.

Founded in 2006, Red Pocket is a wireless brand operating on all of the major US networks. Besides additional network offerings, Red Pocket will make the FreedomPop and UNREAL Mobile brands appealing to a broader set of users by offering native voice service, enhanced billing controls, and live customer service agents, without disrupting the service plans enjoyed by current subscribers.

Like all Red Pocket Mobile customers, FreedomPop and FreedomPop’s UNREAL Mobile subscribers will soon be able to pair virtually any phone in the US with the nationwide network of their choice.

Joshua Gordon, Founder and CEO, Red Pocket Mobile
In combining with FreedomPop's disruptive legacy, we're creating the next generation of wireless service - one that is hyper-innovative and passionately customer-focused.

Kaisha Barela, Director of Customer Experience, Red Pocket Mobile
Providing top coverage and customer service is a Red Pocket specialty. We will deliver added transparency and service options to make FreedomPop not just ‘freemium,’ but premium!
