Reliance group(RIL), the parent company of Reliance Jio Infocomm, in its Q4 2015-2016 earnings announcement said that over half a million users have been onboarded to its network during the period.

The operator soft launched its 4G LTE service December last year, offerings the service to RIL group employees, partners, vendors and associates on a trial basis. The operator also shared that these users have been consuming over 18GB on average within the first month of service with usage increasing rapidly.

According to a statement by Reliance Jio, "The initial feedback is very encouraging and has established smooth operations of all aspects of the network. All the digital applications have also been tested extensively as part of the employee launch program." The operator added that the soft launch is now being expanded to others in the ecosystem and will be “progressively upgraded into commercial operations in coming months”.
