Robi, the second largest mobile phone operator in Bangladesh in terms of revenue and which has over 25 million subscribers, has partnered with Opera and Bikroy.com, the largest marketplace in Bangladesh to introduce sponsored data for its subscribers. To take advantage of the free internet offer, Robi users just need to open the Opera Mini browser on their phones and click on the “Free Internet Coupon” icon. This will open the activation page from where users can activate the 5MB Free Internet Coupon, sponsored by Bikroy.com. In addition to the Free Internet Coupon, in future, Robi users will be able to purchase affordable Robi Internet Coupons through the Opera Mini browser.

According to Opera, this purchase method is easy to understand and is very convenient for Robi subscribers. While accessing the internet, users can purchase and activate these affordable data packs from Opera Mini from within the browser, so they can continue surfing with Opera Mini. The Opera Mini solution also offers a powerful compression technology that allows users to browse much more within a set data limit, compared to those using other mobile browsers. Users of almost all kinds of phones, from basic Java phones to the latest Android and iOS smartphones, can surf the web using the Opera Mini app. Opera claims that the Opera Mini’s unique compression technology shrinks webpages to as little as 10% of their original size.

The internet offers infinite opportunities to have fun and learn at the same time. We hope to see all Robi users browsing the web, sharing pictures, commenting on social media, reading email and doing even more on the web with the Free Internet Coupon.

Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, Chief Operating Officer of Robi
Robi is proud to be partnering with Opera Mini on this exciting initiative. Robi is always exploring ways to make it more convenient for its subscribers to get quality data packs at an affordable price. We are very confident that our users will be able to experience quality internet service over our strong 3.5G network across the country.
