Frost & Sullivan via its Frost IQ (FIQ) for Asia Pacific Web Application Firewall (WAF) Vendors 2013, notes that F5 Networks, Imperva, Penta Security Systems and Barracuda Networks have been positioned in the leading position based on a combination of market share performance and future growth strategies. In 2012, the web application firewall market in the Asia Pacific region was largely dominated by four main players in terms of their market share performance; F5 Networks, Imperva, Penta Security Systems and Barracuda Networks. The FIQ for this segment focuses on the WAF solutions across different form factors in the Asia Pacific region, including enterprise horizontals, verticals and service providers. According to a statement by Frost, these vendors have standalone and integrated WAF solutions to differentiate themselves compared to other vendors . Meanwhime NSFOCUS, Citrix Systems and Venustech have been touted as future growth leaders based on product development and market expansion.
