Zain Group, a major mobile operator in eight markets across the Middle East and Africa, hosted its 3rd annual Zain Technology Conference (ZTC) in Dubai Dec 1-3, 2013, representing its largest technology event to date, attracting over 60 global technology partners. The event with the theme ‘Innovating Zain’s customer experience’, brings together Zain Group and operating companies’ senior management and executives along with major technology providers and vendor representatives such as Ericsson, Huawei and NSN and other niche providers from the telecom value chain.

Scott Gegenheimer, CEO of Zain GroupScott Gegenheimer commented: “The reason why this year’s Zain Technology Conference has the theme, ‘Innovating Zain’s customer experience’, is because this is the last remaining area of differentiation for operators. In this era of hyper-competitiveness in many of the markets in which we operate, attracting and retaining customers through the quality of the customer experience delivered is one of the key ingredients to success and an essential sustainable business practice.”

Furthermore the Group CEO noted, “Zain invests over US$600 million or 15% of its annual revenues back into technology either through network upgrades and expansion or in the rollout of new services, evidence of our commitment to providing our customers with the best networks available in order for them to be able to receive the best service available.” Read More ''Zain to detail strategy and technology roadmap at Zain Technology Conference 2013'
