High growth for AT&T's Shared Plans and its 4G LTE

AT&T shared plans have proved to be a hit among their data subscribers, with more than 13 million out of 35.1 million of their customers registering on shared plans. The figures, reported by AT&T in its 2013Q2 Financial Report also shows the trend towards mutiple device usage among subscribers. According to the report, more than 15% of subscribers migrated from their unlimited plans to shared plans to enable them to manage multiple devices from a single account without having to manage multiple packages and separate billings. The report also highlighted a 50% increase in smartphone data usage per device over the last year.
